Borgo Statione, Mille Miglia 2024

The Mille Miglia – the legendary thousand-mile race through Italy – has always been on my list to experience and photograph. In 2024 I finally made it, and I was lucky enough to bring my son, photographer Truls Morten, along for the journey. After my shoulder surgery, his help was invaluable – and together we followed the race for several days, chasing history, speed, and beauty on the Italian roads. This frame is from Borgo Stazione, one of many unforgettable stops along the Mille Miglia.
