Moment

The photograph was taken in Cape Town. I was making my way up from the beach, climbing what felt like endless steps with heavy equipment. on my shoulder, I carried a Polaroid 600 camera in my right hand.
As I reached the top of the stairs, she was suddenly there—this young girl standing right in front of me. It all happened in an instant. I lifted the camera, and at the same moment she raised her towel.
